Camping

Walesby Forest is open all year round and offers over 70 individual and various sites.

The majority of these are large enough for troop or group camps. Alter fires are the only cooking fires allowed on site but an alternative means is advisable as open fires are not permitted during periods of high fire risk. Calor and Camping Gaz are availble at the centre.

Vehicles are not allowed to drive into the centre except for the delivery and collection of camping equipment. There is generous parking provision in the car park and Hall field. Wet weather accomodation is available for use in emergencies should the need arise. It should also be noted that caravans are allowed on site with prior agreement and dogs are only permitted in Hall field.

All camping should be as per Scout publication POR rules 39.2 and 39.3.
