General Manager Required

JOB VACANCY CLOSED: The closing date for applications has now past.

Reporting to the chairman of the management committee, the general manager has full responsibility for the Profit & Loss operational and commercial functioning of this busy Centre, and is assisted by permanent staff, volunteers and seasonal employees.

The continuing strategy of Walesby is to improve and maintain the existing infrastructure, develop working systems and seek new opportunities to complement existing provisions.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, with several years experience in the retail/leisure/outdoor sector; and possess good all-round communication, IT and staff-management skills.

An awareness and understanding of Health & Safety procedures and obligations is essential.

An attractive salary package is offered, negotiable according to experience and skills.

It is a requirement of the Scout Association that all who work at the Centre are checked with the Criminal Records Bureau.
